Different sizes and colors available. Printing on tags is anodized into the aluminium, physically making it part of the metal. Then stuck onto a product using acetone to activate it's extremely strong adhesive. These tags are made of a strong aluminium alloy.
How are aluminium tags printed?
The aluminium barcode tags are forged from aluminum and are extremely good at resisting solvents, salt, air, sun, and extreme temperatures. These tags are constructed of 0.5mm anodized aluminum and are stuck with high-performance acetone activated or 3M 350 Series peel and stick, extreme High-Performance adhesive and/or holes for mechanical attachment. The powerful adhesive permanently sticks the tag to high surface energy metals, plastics and textured or contoured surfaces. The tags are available in different sizes and colors.
The following diagram shows the Anodising Process of Aluminium Asset Tags :
What is not commonly known is that rubies and sapphires are both termed corundum because they are principally made from aluminium oxide.
According to Mohs scratch hardness scale, Diamond is the only mineral harder than corundum.
